Chief Executive Officer
Stan Loewen is an Agrologist who leads TerraLink, the leading manufacturer and retailer in Western Canada of “crop input products” – basically everything you need to achieve success at growing plants commercially, or purely for pleasure in your own backyard. He has several years of experience and has taken the company to great heights.
Yasir Syed obtained his business degree from University of Oklahoma, USA in 1992. He has been deeply involved with the concept of organic farming since his very young days. His family farm ran strictly on Earth Friendly concepts and he was very active in the day to day management and operations of the business. After completing his graduation in business from USA, he spearheaded the sales & marketing activities with a leading global fertilizer manufacturer for 9 years, in addition to managing his family farm. His passion for agriculture is his hallmark and is instantly obvious upon meeting him.
Research & Development
Geoff Lewis obtained a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (plant science) from UBC and has enjoyed a tapestry of horticulture experience. Geoff is constantly running a diverse range of horticulture and fertilizer projects and trials: He runs a selection of field and greenhouse trials each year, used to compare product performance and rate effects, side-by-side. He also works on developing, bench-testing and improving fertilizer formulations. Geoff has extensive nursery and landscape experience, so he tends to be propagating, planting and pruning ornamental and exotic food plants in his free time.
Regulatory & Technical Affairs
Cody Cruise earned a Diploma in Agriculture – Integrated Pest Management (IPM) from the University of the Fraser Valley. Before taking on the role of Regulatory and Technical Resources, Cody was heavily involved in commercial greenhouse integrated pest management. He thrived on the challenges and intricacies of good vs bad bugs. Shortly after joining TerraLink Horticulture, he took on the role of Regulatory Affairs. His role was later expanded to include technical resources. The challenges of ever changing regulations, new innovations in crop inputs and an array of other company responsibilities of both TerraLink and BioFert are what keeps Cody motivated. To unwind, he escapes to his greenhouse where he has a diverse collection of orchids, or finds a remote BC Interior lake to do some fly-fishing.
